stranger than fiction

Well, apparently my replies to the test texts were good enough to go to the next step, which is one on one training with a manager!  I’m training tonight, at 11:30pm, which is weird, but I guess if this company runs 24/7 they need managers available at all times of the day.

I need to go over the training manual again today.  It doesn’t seem too complicated, but there are a lot of do’s and don’ts that I need to remember.  I’m not sure how much I can write about on this blog, because there is a confidentiality clause in the application that I filled out.  It is very interesting, and I think the hardest part about this job would be having to know British phrases and locations, since the people I would be texting with are in the UK.

I’ll be quizzed tonight on the manual and if I don’t pass the quiz I won’t go on to the training.  I think if I pass the quiz and do the training tonight, I’ll be able to start working immediately.  I don’t think it will pay a lot, but it will be some kind of steady income for the time being.  I also should be doing some training for another part time work at home job after the holidays.  I’m hoping that I can make a living doing a bunch of different part time jobs, since I have no idea when I’ll be able to find a full time job in this economy.
