First Assignment
I got my first paying job with a company I registered with online! I’ll be going to the first showing of The Day The Earth Stood Still at the local movie theater and checking to see what trailers are shown to make sure the right ones are shown. I think I would like this assignment more if the first showing here was a little later than 12:01am, but I didn’t want to decline my first job offer.
These assignments don’t pay a lot, but they are easy assignments, and who doesn’t love some easy money? I just hope this is the beginning of a number of assignments, and I hope that I start hearing back from the dozens of other places I’ve contacted. And that the stupid unemployment office would get their shit together and send me some freaking unemployment checks. They’ve been having “issues” since the first week I applied, the first week of November, and I’ve been told that they need to do some fact finding phone interview with me, but they aren’t sure when, maybe next week, but they don’t have a day so I should just keep my cell phone with me all the time so they can get in touch with me. I can’t believe how unprofessional they are. I’ve been on unemployment before and have never been yanked around as badly as I have been this time. I want to make a complaint, but will wait until I start getting checks. I also want to see if I will get yanked around any more so I have more ammo to use against them.
Not having any money during the holidays sucks donkey balls. Just in case you were wondering.
